Outreach & Impact Yearly Review & 2023 Non-Profits

Christian Financial has made an incredible impact through our Outreach & Impact Initiative in 2022. Over the past year, we’ve donated more than $100,000 from Christian Financial and employee contributions.

Christian Financial employees have volunteered more than 1,300 hours with local non-profits. We are thrilled with what we have accomplished 2022 and are looking forward to making an even larger impact in 2023.

Our Outreach & Impact Initiative elects local organizations yearly that Christian Financial employees can support by volunteering their time, helping to raise awareness, or donating goods and money through employee collections and dress down day funds.

The non-profits Christian Financial’s Outreach & Impact Initiative will be supporting in 2023 will include:

  • Blessing In A Backpack | Blessings In a Backpack is a program designed to help meet the nutritional needs of school-age children by distributing backpacks each week, filled with enough non-perishable food for the weekend to “hunger insecure” school-age children.
  • Rainbow Connection | Rainbow Connection grants wishes for Michigan children between the ages of 2-18 years old, diagnosed with life threatening illnesses.
  • Macomb County Habitat for Humanity | Macomb County Habitat for Humanity strives to build, repair, educate and revitalize homes. It is their goal to improve financial literacy by overseeing mortgages, as well as aiding in retail operation and homeowner development.
  • The Empowerment Plan  | Empowerment Plan hires parents from shelters across Detroit to manufacture coats that can be turned into a sleeping bag for the homeless, in an effort to help families break the vicious cycle of poverty and become financially secure.
  • Motor City Mitten Mission | The Motor City Mitten Mission is dedicated to helping the homeless, the needy, the sick, and those striving for a better way of life. They do this by educating, partnering, and collaborating with a number of other organizations, schools, churches, clubs, and businesses.
  • Metro East Chapter of Credit Unions  | The Metro East Chapter is composed of Michigan Credit Unions within our geographic areas and focuses on supporting a variety of causes each year.
