Eligible households can get up to $15,000 for important fixes—like roofing, safety upgrades, and accessibility improvements.

Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll need to qualify.

  • Household income limits
  • Eligible properties must be owner-occupied and may be 1-4 family homes, townhouses, condominiums, cooperatives or manufactured housing deeded as real estate.
  • Existing mortgage and property tax obligations must be current and paid as agreed.
  • Grant recipients must sign an acknowledgement identifying the licensed contractor used for repairs.
  • Household must work with an Christian Financial Credit Union and FHLBank Indianapolis member financial institution to access funds.

  • Entry Ramps
  • Entry Steps/Stairs
  • Mold and/or mildew remediation
  • Levered door handles
  • Interior/Exterior handrails
  • Widened doorways
  • Internal Chair or Wheelchair lifts Toilet (ADA only)
  • Relocation of washer/dryer from basement to main level of the home
  • Shower Modifications/Grab Bars
  • HVAC systems and ductwork
  • Siding Well or septic systems
  • Roof and/or chimney
  • Water Heater
  • Gutters and downspouts
  • Windows Exterior doors (including overhead garage)
  • Soffit and Fascia
  • Insulation or weatherization
  • Sump-pump systems
  • Ceiling and drywall repair (due to roof failure)

How do I apply for funds?

The application process for the Revive program is easy as 1-2-3!

  1. Complete the interest form above to check if you meet the requirements to apply for the Revive Program. Within three business days, you’ll receive an email confirming whether you qualify to apply for the program.
  2. Once approved, you will be instructed with next steps and the FHLBI Application. Complete and attach all required documents.
  3. Submit your application. Then, our CFCU team will submit your full application to the FHLBI. (Please note: only completed applications with all required documents will be submitted to the FHLBI.)

How long is the FHLBI Revive Program open?

The FHLBI Revive Program will close once all the funds have been distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t wait too long! If you're interested, the first step is to see if you qualify. Just fill out the interest form above to get started.

I have filled out the interest form. Does that mean I have applied for the Revive grant?

Filling out the interest form is just the first step to see if you’re eligible to apply for the Revive program. Once you submit the form, we’ll review your information and get back to you within 3 business days with an email letting you know if you qualify to apply.

How can I find out if I qualify?

Households must meet income requirements and own and occupy the home to be assisted. Fill out our interest form to see if you qualify to apply for the program.

I'm approved! What's next?

Once you receive an email from CFCU stating you have been approved to apply for the Revive program, you can start gathering the required documentation and filling out the provided FHLBI application.

Can I choose my own contractor?

Yes! FHLBI asks that households get at least two independent bids from qualified licensed contractors for each repair or modification. The choice of contractor is completely up to you, so you can select the one that best fits your needs! Learn more about selecting the right contractor here.

What if I have issues with my contractor?

Disputes surrounding the repairs/modification shall be resolved between the household and contractor(s). FHLBI or CFCU will not mediate or participate in these discussions.

Is this federal money?

No, the funds supplied through our grants are not connected to the federal government.

How are funds dispersed?

Funds are dispersed to the contractor working on your home repairs.

How often can I receive grant funds?

No household may receive funds more than once every five years. The waiting period is 5 years from the date of rehabilitation completion.
