Dio Gratias Ministries Detroit<\/h4>\n

$5,000 to stock their food pantry.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Deo Gratias Ministries Detroit\u2019s mission is to be a safe neighborhood gathering spot and a resource for their Detroit community. Deo Gratias offers several services to guests, including social services, a caf\u00e9, an art program, community garden, food pantry and tutoring for adults and children.<\/p>\n

Champ Life<\/h4>\n

$3,000 towards a Kids Camp for children who have experienced neglect, abandonment and abuse.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Champ Life operates a residential Kid\u2019s Camp serving area foster children to help build self-esteem and a sense of pride and accomplishment. In its 20th year, Champ Life campers can participate in a host of activities, including horseback riding, kayaking, archery, swimming, wood shop and more. Grant funds will be used to help ensure more children can attend and enjoy the annual camp.<\/p>\n

We believe in providing financial education, job training and social skills that allows people the ability to support themselves and their families, which we hope helps to break the cycle of poverty.<\/p>\n

Vista Maria<\/h4>\n

$5,000 in grant funds to provide professional work clothing for young people in their Shepherd Hall Transitional Living Program.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Residents of the program at Vista Maria traditionally come from low-income backgrounds, many of whom have aged out of foster care and are experiencing homelessness. Professional clothing can assist them in attaining educational, career or independent living goals.<\/p>\n
